Freedom is a matter of opinion

It seems to be silly to hunt for waterdrops.
But who are we to judge about the activity of someone
who loves what he is doing and who is shining in a
light of detached joy.

  2. I suspect that freedom is not a matter of opinion. An opinion is a judgement coming from the mind - a decision of sorts. Yes, a person can decide "I am free". A decision is part of the thought process. It is my experience, so far, that a thought does not make one free. Freedom comes from another place.

  3. I understand what you mean and I can follow you so far. I guess it is possible to see it from more than one point of view. It´s definitive for sure that a person can decide to be free - when he is accepting the surrounding circumstances, built on a base of clarity. And this is mind-based....yes I agree in this definition.
Also I believe it could be a sudden feeling, experienced in a certain moment - a moment others can´t understand within the impression they obtain in witnessing this special moment.Like the dog: He tries to catch the waterdrops - and he doesn´t care about someone who is judging.
With the headline you have to cover the observer - and not the dog. But probably we both mean the same......words mostly can´t express what we want to say..
